Researchers’ Night 2024-2025 in Hungary

As in previous years, the popular event is organised by RCISD and the FAWORIT consortium, which has been awarded the Marie Skłodowska Curie Action of the European Union for the tenth time. This year, hundreds of institutions – universities, research institutes, libraries, archives, museums – will join the event, which is expected to offer more than 2,000 programmes.

This is the 20th edition of the Researchers’ Night, a Europe-wide event to promote the careers of researchers and scientific research, traditionally held on the last Friday in September and, in recent years, on the Saturday, so in 2024 on 27 and 28 September.

The main aim of the project is to bring researchers closer to the general public, involve them in civic life and encourage young people, especially girls, to pursue a career in science. Researchers, their work and their hobbies will be presented in an interactive way that educates the public, especially students, about research and innovation, with an emphasis on co-creation, the role of R&I in society and the economy, the social relevance of EU research policy and improving science communication.
