Policy Stakeholders Conference on EU-EaP STI cooperation in addressing Health, Budapest, Hungary on 19-20 April 2016
The upcoming conference will address ‘Health’ as a focus area of EU-Eastern Partnership Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation. IncoNet EaP’s 3rd Policy Stakeholders’ Conference will take place in Budapest, at Danubius Hotel Gellért, on 19-20 April 2016.
The “STI International Cooperation Network for Eastern Partnership countries – IncoNet EaP” project is dedicated to the promotion of the bi-regional policy dialogue in Science, Technology and Innovation between the EU Member States (and Associated countries) and the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries, aiming at the identification of priorities for action especially in the three Societal Challenges of particular importance for EU and EaP, namely Climate Change, Energy and Health.
The Conference will provide the opportunity for an in-depth exchange of views among high-level policymakers, representatives of the research communities in the EU/MS AC and the EaP countries, as well as other key stakeholders active in the region on regional and international policies, research programmes and projects addressing Health. The aim of the Conference is to increase synergies among stakeholders and actions as well as to shape future cooperative initiatives addressing Health.
The idea is to have two major sessions:
– one dedicated to international policies, initiatives and programs which is going to follow a rather global approach with speakers closer to policymaking and policies (national, regional, international).
– one dedicated to good practice examples of projects and studies on health. The second session is a more technical one with senior researchers, owners of projects of excellence etc
It has thus been adjusted to two major health events wich will also take place in Budapest in late April:
- ADI 2016 – 31st International Conference of Alzheimer’s Disease
will be held on 21-24 April. This is one of the world’s largest and most important conferences on Alzheimer’s disease. More than 1000 delegates from over 60 countries are expected to attend the conference.
