Danube-INCO.NET and the PA7 working group on DRRIF and coordination and national funding met in Vienna on September 18, 2015. The discussions centered around the current activities and strategic projects.
The Austrian Research Promotion Agency as one of the promoters of the EUREKA Danube Region call reports in the latest newsletter about the success of the previous call (deadline had been 17.6.2015, more then 80 consortia have submitted proposals which are currently under evaluation) and that on the basis of this high interest, a new call shall be opened in March 2016 (deadline in June 2016).
The E!DI Call intends to finance industry driven research and development project in which the project partners are collaborating to realize a new, innovative product, process or service across the Danube Region. Last 30th April was the “not mandatory” deadline for submitting project outlines. Provisional information on both participation of organisations and submitted project outlines was disclosed.
A dedicated webinar is being organized on 31 March 2015, 10:00 – 11:00 CET to provide all relevant information on the current EUREKA Danube Region Call for Project Outlines with deadline on 30 April 2015.
EUREKA Danube Region multilateral call 2015 has been launched for cross-border co-operative projects by EUREKA Danube Region members states. The present call results from an initiative following the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR), endorsed by the European Council in 2011, which aims at a closer collaboration by creating “synergies and coordination between existing policies and initiatives taking place across the Danube Region”.
How to deepen the cooperation between academia and industry? In the frame of BILAT-UKR*AINA project a joint follow-up webinar of the Summer School (organized in Sept 2014) and 2nd Stakeholder Forum (held in Jan 2015) will be held on facilitating the participation of SMEs in H2020 to reinforce cooperation between academia and industry.
