This grant for networking financially supports the participation of local researchers from Eastern Partnership countries in brokerage events related to Horizon2020 as well as in preparatory meetings for development of concrete project proposals for selected thematic calls within H2020.
The project ‘STI International Cooperation Network for EaP Countries Plus (EaP PLUS)’ aims to stimulate cooperation between researchers from the EaP countries and EU MS and enhance the active participation of the Eastern Partnership countries in Horizon 2020 Framework Programme.
Under the support of the IncoNet Eastern Partnership project, energy experts from Eastern Partnership countries participated at the Energy Networking4Innovation Bratislava event, an international energy efficiency and renewable energy brokerage event. On 29 November RCISD provided H2020 training back-to-back with the brokerage event for experts from Eastern Partnership countries.
‘EaP PLUS’ (STI International Cooperation Network for Eastern Partnership Countries – PLUS) is a new coordination and support action funded under Horizon 2020, which was launched on 1 September 2016. The 17 partners of the project took part in a kick-off meeting on 26 September in Athens.
The third Policy Stakeholders Conference (PSC) organised by the IncoNet EaP project took place in Budapest at Danubius Hotel Gellért on 19-20 April 2016. The conference addressed ‘Health’ as a focus area of EU-Eastern Partnership Cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation. The main aim of the Policy Stakeholders Conferences was to bring together policy makers, representatives of the research community and the private sector to address specific problems that countries in the region face and that are of mutual interest and benefit.
