The Triple-Helix Conference with the title Supporting the development of bio-based economy partnerships in the Danube Region through a triple-helix approach organised by the Danube-INCO.NET project took place in Budapest at Danubius Hotel Gellért on 19-20 July 2016.
On 11 December 2014 the Danube-INCO.NET’s General Assembly took place in Vienna. Project partners discussed about the progresses and achievements of first year as well as on the future plans. In general, the project is performing well while already creating impact on the region and making its work known to the public.
In the framework of Work Package (WP) 3 “Tackling Societal Challenges: Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in a Bio-based Economy”, the Danube-INCO.NET project is carrying out a mapping exercise aimed to identify the most relevant stakeholders active in the field of energy efficiency, renewable energy and the bioeconomy in the Danube Region. The result of this effort will be a constantly upgraded database that will prove an efficient tool for networking, with the ultimate goal to support concrete cooperation activities and the creation of international partnerships.
The Danube-INCO.NET project was successfully kicked-off on February 2nd and 3rd, 2014, at Palais Ferstel in Vienna. Upon the invitation of the Austrian coordinator (ZSI) and the Austrian Federal Ministry as project partner, all 19 project partner were invited to have a first joint meeting. After the presentation of the work to be done in the workpackages, many informal meetings and discussions took place in order to arrange the upcoming tasks and events.
