Kick-off Meeting for the Policy Mix Peer Review (PMPR) in Budapest

The Kick-off Meeting for the Policy Mix Peer Review (PMPR) exercise co-organised by the project Danube Region INCO.NET funded by the European Commission under FP7, and the Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development will take place in Budapest, Hungary on 16 July 2015.

The aim of the PMPR is to provide an in-depth analysis of the research and innovation landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. A peer review mechanism is set up to map and analyse programme and instrument portfolios, incentive schemes and policy measures, funding bodies and institutional set-up, framework conditions for R&I, etc. of the countries selected and also to allow the exchange of good practices and formulating recommendations. This PMPR exercise is to be carried out by a team of peers (4-5 international experts in S&I policy setting and implementation) and led by an experienced external expert, the Team Leader.

The objective of the Kick-off Meeting is introducing the policy mix peer review exercise, presenting the state-of the art of R&I policy mix of the target countries, as well as providing a platform for discussing and clarifying any issues among the Team Leader, the national correspondents and the peers.

The event shall gather all participants – National correspondents from the target countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Serbia), the Team Leader, 5 Peers (France, Italy, Norway, Estonia, Romania),  Rapporteur, Task and Work Package Leader (RCISD), Project Coordinator (ZSI) – who are involved in the implementation of the policy mix peer review exercise in Serbia and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The venue of the event will be the Institute of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Bérc street 13-15, 1016 Budapest).
