Joint PA7, Danube INCO.NET & EUREKA meeting coming up in December

On 10 December a PA7 ‘Knowledge Society’ Steering Group meeting will be held in Vienna.

During the meeting, the participants will decide about the upcoming activities and priorities, and the projects eligible for the support of PA7. In the afternoon in the frame of a joint workshop, Danube-INCO.NET project will report its achievements of the first year. The Danube-INCO.NET project (www.danube-inco.net) is an FP7 funded coordination and support action for the official EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) in the field of research and innovation (R&I).
The aim of the Danube-INCO.NET project is the targeted support and coordination of research and innovation actions of the Danube Strategy, with particular attention to the PA7 ‘Knowledge Society and the PA8 ‘Competitiveness’ Priority Areas. The Hungarian member of the project, the Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development (www.rcisd.eu) , which coordinates the analysis of research and innovation cooperation and its barriers, and on the other hand, formulates policy recommendations based on the mapping and analysis of the stakeholders in the field of research, innovation, and (higher)education in the Danube Region. The first results of the above mentioned analyses and the draft version of policy recommendations will be presented at the joint workshop.
On 11 December the working session of EUREKA, which supports market-oriented cross-border R&D projects, will be held, with the objective to provide a platform for dialogue on mutual cooperation and on the upcoming EUREKA Danube Call. This EUREKA call in 2015 will support cross-border projects from the Danube Region (EUREKA Danube Initiative (E!DI)). Last but not least, PA7 and Danube-INCO.NET project will present the state of the art of the launching and implementation of DRRIF (Danube Region Research and Innovation Fund).
