ener2i Energy and Innovation Workshop and Brokerage event were successfully held in Chisinau on 10-11th December 2014.

On 10th December 2014 the ener2i Workshop on Innovation in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy took place in Chisinau, Moldova. This event was organised by the local ener2i partners Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AITT) and Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM) and gathered together 56 participants from Moldova, Georgia and several EU countries.

After a warm welcome by Ion Tiginyanu, First Deputy President of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova and Roman Chirca, General Director of AITT several speakers were part of the ener2i Workshop on Innovation in Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy: Audun Ruud, from SINTEF Energy Research (Norway), Florian Moerger, from ee energy engineers (Germany), Sergiu Ungureanu, from the Energy Efficiency Agency (Moldova), Manfred Spiesberger, from Centre for Social Innovation (Austria), Orest Kiyko, from the Ukrainian Forestry University Lviv (Ukraine), Roland Oberwimmer, from holzcluster Steiermark GmbH (Austria), Ina Körner, from Hamburg University of Technology (Germany), Ion Visa and Anca Duta, from the Transilvania University of Braşov (Romania)

The brokerage event was also organized by local ener2i partners, Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer (AITT) and Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises Sector Development (ODIMM). The ener2i Brokerage Event provided an opportunity for pre-arranged face2face meetings and networking. Face2face meetings serve to find potential partners, to present competences, to discuss new project ideas and initiate partnerships for joint projects in the EU’s Horizon2020 Programme for Research and Innovation (2014-2020). Moreover it was arranged to broker contacts and to develop joint innovative projects among research and business representatives from Moldova and EU countries as well as to form partnerships for ener2i Innovation Voucher competition.
The Innovation Voucher has been launched on the 11th December 2014.
The aim of the Innovation Voucher competitions is to initiate innovation projects in the field of energy efficiency (EE) and renewable energy sources (RES) by providing direct financial support at an early stage of project development. Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs), including start-ups and spin-offs will get the possibility to purchase research and development services from knowledge providers to realise their projects and to establish or intensify their relationship with research institutions.
