Buday, Zita – Senior International Expert

Buday, ZitaStudies: Ms Zita Buday studied international business communication in English and German at the College for Foreign Trade Budapest and received her BSc in 1980. In 1986 she spent a trimester at the Universitá per Stranieri Perugia, studying economy and cultural history in Italian. Between 2006 and 2011 she attended several project management trainings organized by Via Donau Austria, focusing on transnational projects. In 2015 she completed a training course on intellectual property protection at the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office.

Career: From 1980 till 1992 she worked as foreign trade assistant at Hungagent Ltd. From 1992 till 1999 she was executive assistant and head of office at Rexfilm Ltd., a joint venture company of SONY Broadcast.
From 1995 till 2005 she worked as freelance translator and interpreter.
In 2005 she joined VITUKI Environmental Protection and Water Management Research Institute where she was responsible for the coordination and management of EU-funded research projects focusing on Danube navigation, in the frame of Interreg IIIB, SEE, TEN-T, FP7 funding programmes.
From 2013 to early 2016 she worked as senior project manager at the Research Centre for Natural Sciences of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, dealing with European grant schemes (H2020, Interreg, COST, ERA-Net, etc.) as well as with American and other research funds’ grants. She was also RCNS’ coordinator for IPR affairs.
She joined RCISD as senior international expert in 2016, being responsible for the ENER2I and the Black See Horizon projects, as well as for the management of the CEBRABIC project. She is also supporting the Danube-INCO.NET project.
